In 2018, Shenzhen Polytechnic University commenced the construction of ten public technical service platforms, one of which was the Electronic Information Material Reliability Testing Center. This was a move in response to the Shenzhen government's call to accelerate industrial transformation and upgrade economic development patterns, building a high-quality innovation-oriented city. It was also in line with the strategy of supporting enterprises and institutions to build public technical service platforms for generic technology development, quality certification, measurement, and testing.

The Electronic Information Material Reliability Testing Center was established in September 2019. In December 2020, it entered the process of invitation for bids, signing the contract in March 2021. With an area of 300 square meters, the Center has invested RMB 10 million in first-class material reliability testing equipment. Relying on the expert technical team, the Center adheres to testing standards and meets the service needs of different customers with a professional attitude.The Center officially operated in September 2021.

Electronic Information Material Reliability Testing Center is one of the first public technical service platforms set up by Shenzhen Polytechnic University. Based in Shenzhen, the Center is dedicated to providing professional technical services such as electronic information material and component testing, analysis, and technical consulting for enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The services target electrical and electronic engineering, automobile, aerospace, new energy, new materials, education, scientific research, and other industries.
