We value morals and profession equally and make ceaseless self-improvement
The Hoffmann Institute of Advanced Materials was jointly established by a research team led by Nobel Laureate Professor Roald Hoffmann and Shenzhen Polytechnic University. The preparations for setting up the Institute started in early 2018 and the unveiling ceremony was held in May 2019. It is dedicated to the research and development of new functional materials to serve the new energy and energy-saving and environmental protection material-related industries in Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through the simultaneous combination of basic research and application industrialization.
II. Significant Scientific Achievements
As of November 2021, the Institute has been awarded six national scientific research projects, ten provincial and municipal scientific research projects, and has been approved as a key laboratory of green energy-saving materials for general universities in Guangdong Province. It has also been approved as one of the first outstanding youth funds in Shenzhen, and one person from the Institute has been selected to participate in the national "Young Talent Support Program".
