Unveiling ceremony of Demonstration Base of Sino-German Industry-Education-Research-Application Innovation Consortium

On November 27, the unveiling ceremony of Demonstration Base of Sino-German Industry-Education-Research-Application Innovation Consortium was held at the 2022 Yangtze River Delta International Industry-Education-Research-Application Cooperation Conference (Shanghai). President Xu Jianling led a team of five members, including Tang Kesheng, Director of International Office, attended the event. In the presence of Weng Tiehui, Vice Minister of Education; Maximilian Butek, Executive Director of German Chamber of Commerce in China; Ma Xiaolong, Chief Representative of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft; Zhu Xiaoxun, Executive Vice President of Siemens, and other related persons, Wu Guoqiang, Deputy Director of School Planning, Construction and Development Center of the Ministry of Education, and Xu Jianling inaugurated the base together.

As the year 2022 marks the 50^thanniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Germany, the School Planning, Construction and Development Center of the Ministry of Education, in conjunction with the China-Germany Friendship Association, the German Association for the Promotion of Education and Technology, as well as universities, research institutes, enterprises and chambers of commerce in China and Germany, has built a Sino-German Industry-Education-Research-Application Innovation Consortium, aiming to promote the integration of the industrial chain, education chain, talent chain, innovation chain and supply chain of the two countries. Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Shenzhen Polytechnic serve as the representatives of research universities, application-oriented undergraduate colleges and vocational colleges respectively for the base.

Xu Jianling attended the principal roundtable forum

The Ministry of Education initiated the “International Industry-Education-Research-Application Cooperation Conference” in 2018, and the 2022 Yangtze River Delta International Industry-Education-Research and Application Cooperation Conference (Shanghai) is an important part of the conferences this year. SZPT is the only representative of higher vocational colleges invited to the conference. Xu Jianling attended the principal roundtable forum themed by “Industry-Education Cooperation Strategy, Practice, Challenge and Future”, and showed SZPT’sfruitful educational results in the integration of industry and education achieved by the “Nine Common Activities” dual subject talent training mode with speciality colleges as the carrier, and discussed the international industry-education-research-application innovation path with guests from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Hebrew University, Ecole Polytechnique Paris and other internationally renowned colleges and universities.

In the future, SZPT will vigorously support the construction of the demonstration base, and give full play to the important role of the base in promoting the dual-cycle development of Sino-German talent joint training and scientific research to lead, support and serve the regional development, drive the localization of curriculum and model from German universities of applied sciences, facilitate the transformation of technological achievements, create a high ground for the cultivation of technical talents in China and Germany, and promote the high-level international development of our college.
