The awarding ceremony of 2022 “Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation” was held successfully

On November 30, SZPT held the award ceremony of “Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation” in Mingde Building. President Xu Jianling attended the award ceremony and delivered a speech. Tang Kesheng, Director of International Office; Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of International Office; all TCSL teachers and more than 20 representatives of international students attended the event.

Xu Jianling said that he participated in the establishment of “Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation” 10 years ago, and now he is very pleased to hand out this scholarship to the outstanding international students at SZPT. Meanwhile, Xu Jianling expressed his congratulations to the students who won the scholarship and encouraged them to continue to study hard and act as ambassadors of friendship between China and other countries.Tang Kesheng, Director of International Office,hoped that students would work hard to improve their Chinese language and expertise, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and make greater contributions to promoting economic and cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world.

They said that winning the award gave them great motivation, and they would study harder to learn professional knowledge and excellent Chinese culture, and constantly improve themselves, laying a good foundation for their future academic and career development.

“Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation” is the first public foundation in China to provide financial support for international students. In August 2011, in order to carry forward the spirit of the Universiade and promote cultural and educational exchanges of international youth, Shenzhen raised funds specifically to support international students. This time, a total of 12 Chinese and international students were awarded at SZPT, including 1 overseas student, 2 international students studying in Shenzhen, and 9 foreign students studying Chinese language in Shenzhen.
