SZPT leaders attended the signing ceremony of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Student Exchange Union Charter Agreement

On September 29, SZPT held a signing ceremony ofGuangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Student Exchange Union Charter Agreement with Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, Zhongshan Polytechnic and Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College online and offline. Xu Jianling, President of SZPT, Tang Zhiqiang, Executive Officer of Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, Wang Zhong, Vice President of Zhongshan Polytechnic, Lin Kunzhi, President of Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College and other guests attended the signing activity and delivered speeches.

In his speech, Xu Jianling hoped to actively promote the mutual learning and resource sharing among colleges in the Bay Area through the union as a platform, and facilitate the comprehensive exchanges and in-depth fusion of youth from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau; extended a warm welcome to the joining of Zhongshan Polytechnic and Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College, and expected that colleges from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau would join hands to take advantage of opportunities brought by the construction of the Greater Bay Area to expand the development space of young talents in the Bay Area and help them grow into talents. Tang Zhiqiang expressed his hope that the union would carry out more activities to bring forth new ideas in the future, and act a platform to strengthen inter-school exchanges and cooperation in the Greater Bay Area; expected that the union would continue to promote the inter-school course cooperation and student internship/training, so that more youth from Hong Kong could be involved in the construction of the Greater Bay Area. Then, persons in charge of Zhongshan Polytechnic and Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College signed a contract online to confirm joining the union.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Student Exchange Union (the “Union”), jointly established by SZPT and Hong Kong Vocational Training Council in October 2020, aims to promote exchanges and cooperation among colleges in the Greater Bay Area, enhance interaction of young students, facilitate cultural exchange and knowledge sharing and cultivate entrepreneurial and innovative thinking of youth in the Greater Bay Area. In the past two years, theUnion has organized a series of student exchange activities under the themes of “Smart City” and “Innovation and Technology”, attracting nearly 1,700 teachers and students from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. TheUnion plans to gradually expand the scale of members. This year, Zhongshan Polytechnic and Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College have been invited to join theUnion.

Relevant persons in charge ofthe School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Youth League Committee, and the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs attended the ceremony.
