On June 6, “Vitebsk State University of Technology - Shenzhen Polytechnic Technical and Vocational Education and Training Center” was officially established at Vitebsk State University of Technology in Belarus. Mr.Zrinjski, First Vice President of Vitebsk State University of Technology, Mr. Romanovich, Director of International Department, and Chinese students from Vitebsk State University of Technology attended the opening ceremony.
On May 10, 2022, Shenzhen Polytechnic and Vitebsk State University of Technology formally signed an agreement to build a technical and vocational education and training center. This is the seventh overseas technical and vocational education training center set up by SZPT in the fifth country besides Malaysia, Bulgaria, Germany and Ukraine. The establishment of the center will provide high-quality technical and vocational education and training for teachers and students of both countries, promote exchanges between teachers and students, drive the professional standards and curriculum standards of our college to “go global”, and reinforce exchanges and cooperation in vocational education between the two countries. The two colleges will use the technical and vocational education and training center as a platform to carry out professional training, cultural courses (language, history), scientific research and other activities in Chinese language, Russian language, modern communication technology and other professional fields. The first activity will be held from June 10. Teachers of Vitebsk State University of Technology will hold three online lectures on Russian language and culture for students majoring in Russian language at SZPT.
It is reported that Vitebsk State University of Technology is a key state university and also the academic research center for process design and light industry economy in Belarus. Located in Vitebsk, the capital of Vitebsk Prefecture, a city in the northeast of Belarus, the university was formerly known as Vitebsk Institute of Light Industry and Technology, and was officially renamed Vitebsk State University of Technology in 1995.Vitebsk State University of Technology features abundant faculty resources, strong academic atmosphere, and high teaching quality, especially in the field of process design and light industry, which has trained a large number of talents for Belarus.
