Students from School of Electronic and Communication Engineering Won the Gold Medal in 2023 BRICS Vocational Skills Competition

On September 12-16, the international final of the 2023 BRICS Vocational Skills Competition (BRICS Future Skills Challenge) was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. After three days of fierce competition, the team formed by the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering (Contestants: Huang Tao, Wen Yupeng; Instructors: Qi Kun, Wei Kai; Translation: Qu Haizhou) played an outstanding performance, won the gold medal of the first place in the network security segment , and stood on the highest podium of the competition on behalf of the university.

The 2023 BRICS Vocational Skills Competition (BRICS Future Skills Challenge) is hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Training of South Africa, the BRICS Business Council and the Gauteng Provincial Government of South Africa, under the guidance of the government departments of the five BRICS countries, focusing on key areas such as high-end manufacturing, digital economy, new industries, new forms of business and new technologies, with an aim to enhance the ability of teachers and students of vocational colleges in the five countries in respect of innovation, coordination, organization and cooperation, enrich the exchanges and cooperation among vocational colleges and enterprises in the five countries, and promote the cultivation of international high-quality technical and skilled talents in BRICS countries as a whole.
