Recently, the “Building Intelligent System Installation and Debugging” segment of 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition came to an end in Heilongjiang Institute of Construction Technology. A total of 54 colleges from 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government participated in the competition. The students from Lai Zhiqin and Qu Weihong majoring in building intelligent engineering technology from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering won the first prize in the national competition.

Based on the national teaching standards for majors related to intelligent building engineering technology, under the background that the development of emerging technologies in the building installation industry requires talents for the installation and maintenance of intelligent building systems, and by reference to the process and standards of the World Skills Competition, the segment selected the building intelligent typical application system engineering tasks of as the competition content to evaluate the comprehensive practical skills and technical application ability of teachers and students of vocational colleges in respect of design, installation, wiring, programming, debugging, operation and maintenance of intelligent building systems, and check their professional qualities in analyzing problems, solving problems, teamwork ability, and compliance with rules and standards.
