On June 11, the martial arts athletes of SZPT won the 2023 Martial Arts Routine Championship for College Students of Guangdong Province again. With an absolute advantage of 7 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 2 bronze medals and 117 total points, they became a double champion in respect of the number of gold medals and the total group points in the Group C of the provincial competition for five consecutive times. Among them, Chen Yang, a student from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, won the first place in men’s cudgel play and Nandao; Lin Yilin, a student from the School of Foreign Languages and Business, won the first place in women’s long boxing and cudgel play, and Lin Jiabao won the first place in women’s Nangun; Wu Songming, a student from the School of Medical Technology and Nursing, won the first place in men’s sabreplay, and Cai Liying, a student from the School of Management, won the first place in women’s fencing. Coaches Tian Guiju and Chen Yanyang won the title of “Excellent Coach” in the competition.

All along, SZPT has provided favorable conditions for the vigorous development of martial arts culture. In the future, the martial arts association will, by relying on the bases for inheriting outstanding traditional Chinese culture in colleges and universities across the province, and taking the national martial arts online quality courses as a platform, strive to practice the creative transformation and innovative development of outstanding traditional Chinese culture.
