SZPT won 3 grand prizes, 3 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 1 third prize, and “Winner’s Cup”

On May 27-28, the final of the 17^th “Challenge Cup” Guangdong College Students Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition , co-sponsored by Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, Department of Education of Guangdong Province, Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences, and Guangdong Students' Federation, was successfully held in Sun Yat-sen University. Through the fierce competition with undergraduates, SZPT won 3 grand prizes, 3 first prizes, 5 second prizes 1 third prize, and “Winner Cup”. The prize rate of our entries reached 100%, and the number of grand prizes ranked first among higher vocational colleges in the province.

The opening event of this competition set up a reporting and sharing session for outstanding participants. A total of four outstanding competition items from Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, South China Normal University and Shenzhen Polytechnic (“Soft Display Vision”) were arranged for sharing on stage.

It is reported that in order to prepare for the “Challenge Cup”, our Youth League Committee made systematic planning, actively mobilized all students to participate in the competition, and relying on the innovation project and the student association high-quality construction project, established a selection and cultivation mechanism of participating items, gaining strong support and assistance from the relevant departments of SZPT. Since the internal “Challenge Cup” in November last year, our Youth League Committee invited more than 10 top experts to carry out thematic training and tracking guidance such as text writing, PPT polishing, and road show simulation defense. Under the guidance of teachers and experts, the team actively carried out market survey, experimental demonstration, physical model making, project landing promotion and other work, and continued to promote the perfection of their works. The outstanding results of the “Challenge Cup” fully reflected the achievements of the scientific and technological innovation work of the students at our college, and showed the youthful style of the students who constantly break through themselves and strive to make progress.
