On May 26, the “Building Intelligent System Installation and Debugging” segment of 2022-2023 Vocational Skills Competition of Guangdong Province kicked off in Qingyuan Campus of Guangdong Construction Polytechnic. A total of 19 vocational colleges from Guangdong Province sent teams to participate in the competition. The team of students sent by the major of building intelligent engineering technology in the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering stood out in the two-day session and won the first prize of the provincial competition and got a ticket to the national competition.

The competition contents included three modules: building intelligent system engineering project design, building intelligent system engineering project operation and vocational comprehensive quality, aiming to assess the students’ ability to analyze and solve problems, testtheir teamwork ability, work efficiency, quality awareness, safety awareness, environmental awareness, respect for science, compliance with standards and other professional qualities, and improve their vocational ability in the intelligent building system equipment installation and debugging, system operation, management and maintenance.
