Good Start! Students from School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering Won the First Prize in the Automobile Troubleshooting Segment of the National Competition

On May 14, the opening ceremony of 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition was held in Weifang, Shandong Province. As one of the segments at the opening ceremony, “Automobile Troubleshooting” was successfully held on May 14-16. A total of 67 teams from all over the country competed on the same stage. Our students Wu Zehua and Liao Guoping from the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering won the first prize by virtue of their solid theoretical foundation and superb skills, making a good start at the national skills competition!

The National Vocational College Skills Competition is a major system design and innovation of vocational education in China, which has played an important role in improving the quality of technical talent training, promoting high-quality employment, serving economic and social development, and boosting the exchange and cooperation of vocational education between China and foreign countries. The School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering has been committed to the construction of a five-level competition system, i.e. “School Competition - Municipal Competition - Provincial Competition - National Competition - World Competition”, focusing on the goal of cultivating highly skilled talents and craftsman spirit, with an interdisciplinary skills competition team built as led by the major of new energy vehicle technology in collaboration with the major of intelligent connected vehicle technology, major of automotive electronic technology, and automotive technology training room, and by way of “promoting study through competition, promoting teaching through competition, promoting reform through competition, and promoting construction through competition”, improving the teaching level and student skills training, advancing the teaching reform and industry-education integration, and enhancing the talent training quality of automotive technology.
