Recently, the “Chemical Experimental Technology”segment of 2022-2023 Guangdong Vocational College Students Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) ended successfully in Nanhai Campus of Guangdong Industry Polytechnic. A total of 61 teams from 35 vocational colleges across the province took part in the competition. The students Yang Runzhi and Peng Yulin, instructed by the teachers Luan Chonglin and Liu Hongbo from the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering , won the first prize (second place) and the second prize respectively. The segment mainly tested the theoretical knowledge and operational skills of material preparation, analysis and inspection; the awareness of health, safety, environmental protection; and the ability to understand and implement national and industrial standards and specifications, as well as scientific experimental methods, techniques and field adaptability.
