On April 21-22, the “Fintech Application Skills” segment of 2022-2023 Guangdong Vocational College Student Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group), was held in Qingyuan Campus of Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Trade. A total of 72 teams of 288 contestants from 41 colleges and universities in Guangdong Province participated in the segment. Led by our teachers Fang Haowen, Wang Qi and Zhang Xianwei, the two fintech application teams, composed of Wu Xiaoli, Lin Xiaojun, Ma Danting and Li Jionghui, as well as Ma Qinying, Lin Xuexin, Wang Xiaoqi and Lai Jinyi, both won the first prize in the provincial competition after intense competition.

The “Fintech Application Skills”segment includes four modules: fintech literacy, Internet finance, big data finance and block chain finance. Fintech literacy and big data finance modules take an individual model. The Internet finance and block chain finance modules take a team model. The segment mainly aims to assess the mastery of fintech knowledge, basic financial knowledge and basic technical knowledge of block chain, as well as the real application of simulated fintech in financial scenarios and team cooperation.
