On April 1, the“CAD Mechanical Design”Segment of Guangdong Vocational College Skills Competition was held inCity College of Huizhou. Four teachers, includingHong Jianming and Cheng Lusha from the mechanical design and manufacturing major, and Huang Xueyun and Chen Xuan fromthe mechanicalengineeringteaching andresearchOffice of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, ledtwo teams composed of four students, i.e. Li Zhiyong, Lyu Jinhui, Guo Sui and Wu Yangyue,to participate in the competition. After five hours of intense competition, our teams stood out from 106 participating teams, and both won the first prize in Guangdong Province. Among them,Li Zhiyong and Lyu Jinhui, under the guidance of Hong Jianming and Cheng Lusha, took the first place.

The CAD mechanical designsegment includes the basic mechanical design knowledge, innovative mechanical design, assembly design and engineering drawings, product rendering and simulation movement, parts mapping and other modules. It requires high comprehensive ability and demands a high level of skill from participants. Thissegment has been held in Guangdong Province for three consecutive years. Ourcollege has sent 6 teams to participate in the competition, and they all won the first prize in Guangdong Province.
