On April 7-9, the“Restaurant Service”segment of2022-2023 Guangdong Vocational College Student Professional Skills Competition was held in Jiangmen. 41 teams from Guangdong vocational colleges participated in thesegment. After fierce competition, Chen Yiqi and LinZankeng,twostudents (2022) majoring in hotel management and digital operation from the School of Managementat SZPT, won the first prize in thesegment.
Based on the philosophy of“learning from international standards, highlightingChinese characteristics,beingclose to production practice,andreflecting the work process”, the“Restaurant Service”segment aimed toassess the overall quality and ability of the tourism students in the restaurant service process. Thissegment consisted of Chinese restaurant service andwestern restaurant serviceastwo categories, a total of four modules. Among them, Chinese restaurant servicewas divided into two modules: themed banquet design,and banquet service; western restaurant servicewasdivided into cocktail making and service,andleisure restaurant service. The contents ofthis segment covered the core skills and professional qualities of catering teaching in the tourism major, and emphasized the standardization, reality, process and professionalism of the working process.
