The Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs Held a Special Meeting on the Work Relating to Students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan

On March 2, the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs of SZPT held a special meeting on the work relating to students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in Tongde Building of Liuxiandong Campus. The meeting was chaired by Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs. Counselors from secondary schools and members from the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Yang Congkun conveyed the working spirit and key points of the superior department, and introduced the related work relating to our students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. At present, we have 132 students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in 15 secondary schools. Yang Congkun elaborately interpreted the trend, purpose and implementation of the work relating to students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. He said that enrolling students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan is an important way to strengthen educational exchange and cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and guide students to study hard, understand the background of happiness in the new era, consciously participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, enhance the sense of national and ethnic identity, and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Lastly, Yao Ping from the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs communicated and shared ideas with the teachers about the problems encountered in student management, explained in detail the credit replacement of military training courses for the students in three grades, and interpreted the student management methods and other aspects.

This meeting discussed a new working mechanism, and further strengthened and implemented the working methods and principles, enabling a deeper understanding of the work relating to the management of students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs will, as always, do a good job in the enrollment, teaching, life management and service of students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, assist secondary schools to strengthen the student management, and regularly organize various cultural and sports activities such as national conditions education courses, lectures on innovation and entrepreneurship, and questions & answers to enrich the extracurricular life of students.
