On May 24, SZPT and Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd. (“Dahua”) held the “Signing & Unveiling Ceremony of Dahua-SZPT Intelligent Transportation Training Center” in the training hall of the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering. According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides carried out in-depth cooperation, and guided by job requirements and following the law of education and teaching development, jointly promoted the student training and the integration of industry and education. The two sides jointly built a student training center - “Dahua - SZPT Intelligent Network Training Room”, and based on the technical positions of intelligent transportation and security industry,created a teaching system of enterprise project promoting teaching, teaching relying on project practice, and project practice going from simple to complex, and a four-in-one training system of “student-apprentice - prospective employee-employee”.

At the ceremony, Shi Dong, Group Vice President and General Manager of Domestic Corporate Business Department of Dahua Technology Co., Ltd., introduced the development history of Dahua for 30 years. As the world’s leading video-centric smart IoT solution provider and operation service provider, Dahua focuses on 13 fields such as new energy vehicles, AI, video IoT, fire safety, industrial drones, etc., with presence in two major sectors, i.e. education and medical care, so as to comprehensively advance the digital intelligence upgrade of cities and enterprises.

SZPT Party Secretary Yang Xinbin highly affirmed Dahua’s achievements in the international smart city and AI video IoT. He also said that the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of smart transportation, jointly build a cooperative development platform of integration, innovation, sharing and win-win results, and create a new height for the development of industry, education and research.

At present, the two sides have cooperated in the development of the “Traffic Monitoring System Installation and Maintenance” course, compiled two loose-leaf teaching materials: “AI Video Surveillance Technology and Application” and “Smart Park Control and Management”. Five SZPT teachers have been certified by Dahua Global as Video Internet of Things Certified Lecturer, Smart Building Certified Lecturer, and 1+X Security System Construction and Operation and Maintenance (Senior) Lecturer. Under the joint training of the college and the enterprise, the students have clear learning goals, significantly enhanced awareness of independent learning, significantly improved ability of teamwork, and increasingly mature job skills. In recent years, students won 1 grand prize in the “Intelligent Transportation System Integration and Application Skills Competition” for higher vocational schools and 3 first prizes in the Vocational Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) of Guangdong Province. More than 50 organizations and brother colleges visited SZPT and its construction of training room, and made discussions on the talent training mode of “chain” cooperation between colleges and enterprises, with obvious radiation and demonstration effects.

At the unveiling ceremony, Dahua also donated training equipment of 1.1 million yuan to the Intelligent Transportation Training Center of the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, and 150,000 yuan for student education scholarships to the Education Foundation of SZPT.
