Yang Xinbin was giving an expert report at the parallel forum “Digital Transformation and Development of Technological and Vocational Education and Training”.

“Digital skills are widely used and the demand for digital skills education and training is exploding. Over the past few years, developing digital skills has become a policy priority for countries around the world in response to rapid technological changes. At present, 170 countries and regions have introduced digital transformation strategies. Behind this, digital skills have increasingly become a cross-cutting demand across all occupations and sectors of society,” Yang Xinbin started with two stories about the digital transformation of Foxconn and the water system, arousing the audience’s awareness and resonance about the urgency and importance of the digital transformation of vocational education, emphasizing that behind the digital transformation of vocational education are the needs of industrial development and the rigid demand for the development of new drivers, and the momentum for the reform of vocational education itself. He elaborated on the underlying logic and analysis framework of the digital transformation of vocational education, shared the strategic objectives and ten deployments of the digital transformation at SZPT, and finally put forward six paths for the digital transformation of vocational education - the digitalization of majors and courses, the enhancement of teachers’ digital ability, the cultivation of students’ digital ability, the digitalization of school-enterprise cooperation, the construction of international communication platform, and the strengthening of digital base.

It is reported that, representatives from more than 130 countries and regions attended the World Digital Education Conference, themed by “Digital Transformation and Future of Education”.
