In the morning of January 14, the Vocational Training Council (VTC) and our college held the fifth working group meeting on cooperation of vocational education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. The meeting was held both online and offline. Xu Jianling, President of Shenzhen Polytechnic, Li Yue, Vice-president of SZPT, Mr. Tang Zhiqiang, Executive Officer of VTC, and Ms. Shen Zhaohui, Vice Executive Officer of VTC, attended the meeting and participated in the full discussion.
Xu Jianling extend his congratulations to VTC’s newly appointed executive officer Mr. Tang Zhiqiang and vice executive officer Ms. Shen Zhaohui. He reviewed the cooperation achievements so far this year, including cooperative education programs, activities of student exchange alliance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and landing of the Special Vocational Education Park in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, all of which have achieved satisfactory results. Xu Jianling said that from local to national levels, various departments and regions attach great importance to the construction of vocational education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. SZPT will assume the responsibility, seize the opportunity and cooperate with the Vocational Training Council to accelerate the landing of the Special Vocational Education Park in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, create a model of vocational education, and contribute to the development of the Greater Bay Area.
On the basis of careful preparation in the early stage of the meeting, group members of the two sides introduced in detail the four aspects of cooperative education, research and development, student exchange alliance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and work practice. Then the present work progress and the next work plan were elaborated and discussed. Finally, Xu Jianling and Li Yue made concluding remarks. Xu Jianling expressed appreciation for the efficient work progress of the working group and the efforts of its members. He hoped that the two sides could complement each other’s advantages and make joint efforts to push forward the implementation of various tasks.
Relevant leader representatives and persons in charge of programs from the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs , School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Electronic and Communication Engineering, School of Art and Design, School of Management, School of Digital Creation and Animation, School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, and Hoffmann Institute of Advanced Materials also attended the meeting.
