Our school's teacher-student team won three gold Awards in the final of the First National Student Career Planning Competition.
Recently, the final competitionand award ceremony of the First National Student Career Planning Competition were held in Shanghai. Our school'steacher and student teams have won three gold awards. Among them, Teng Laiyi, a student from the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering, won the gold award in the employment track of the vocational education group. Liu Jiajie, a student from the School of Medical Technology and Nursing, also won the gold award in the employment track of the vocational education group. Additionally, Zhu Xiaolin, a teacher from the Enrollment and Employment Office, won the gold award in the teaching track of the vocational education group.
This competition, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, marks the first nationwide specialized event aimed at promoting high-quality and full employment for college students. With the theme "Building Dreams in Youth, Planning Careers for the Future", the competition sets up growth tracks for lower-grade students, employment tracks for upper-grade students, and teaching tracks for teachers focusing on college student career development and employment guidance courses. Since its launch in August 2023, the competition has attracted a total of 9.52 million registered students from 2,740 universities. Among them, over 600 students and more than 80 teachers have advanced to the finals. After fierce competition, our school's team emerged victorious in the finals, winning three gold awards.
Teng Laiyi, a student majoring in Analysis and Testing Technology from the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering, Class of 2021, won the gold award in the employment track of the vocational education group.
Liu Jiajie, a nursing major from the School of Medical Technology and Nursing, Class of 2021, also won the gold award in the employment track of the vocational education group.
In the students' growth and employment tracks, participants demonstrated their personal career plans by integrating their job aspirations, career planning, and stage achievements. Participants from Shenzhen Polytechnic University closely aligned with the pace of the times, clearly expressing their job intentions in line with the needs of national economic and social development. They continuously explored and innovated based on their studies, fully showcasing the spirit of determination, courage, and excellence, embodying the spirit of "moral integrity, professional dedication" of Shenzhen Polytechnic University. In the national finals, Teng Laiyi from the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering, Class of 2021, majoring in Analysis and Testing Technology, and Liu Jiajie from the School of Medical Technology and Nursing, Class of 2021, majoring in Nursing, won the national finals gold award based on their absolute strength.
Zhu Xiaolin, a teacher from the Enrollment and Employment Office, received the gold award in the teaching track of the vocational education group.
In the teaching track, Zhu Xiaolin, a lecturer in the Department of University Employment Guidance Courses at the Enrollment and Employment Office, vividly and comprehensively elaborated on the positioning and teaching design ideas of the school's vocational guidance courses under the theme "Building Dreams with Skills, Cultivating Virtue and Talent - Exploring High-Quality Employment of College Students through the Course of Career Planning and Employment Guidance for College Students". She emphasized teaching reform and characteristic innovation, through scenarios and live Q&A sessions, combined with her own teaching practice, fully demonstrated solid professional knowledge and teaching abilities. Ultimately, she achieved the first place in the group in the teaching track of the vocational education group.
As the leading unit organizing this competition, the Enrollment and Employment Office provided full-track guidance to the participating students, conducting over 30 training sessions. Through continuous refinement and improvement, the comprehensive quality and competitiveness of the participants were significantly enhanced.
Next, the school will take the opportunity of the National Students Career Planning Competition to fully demonstrate the exemplary role and educational value of the competition, solidify and refine employment guidance services, enhance students' awareness of career planning, guide graduates to establish correct views on talent cultivation, career development, and employment, improve their employability, and comprehensively escort graduates to achieve high-quality and full employment.
