Provincial competition scene
On August 16, the 9th “CCB Cup” China International “Internet+” College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Guangdong Province successfully concluded. A total of 20 projects of our university entered the provincial final, and won 10 gold and 10 silver medals, with the number of gold medals being far ahead of vocational colleges in the province. Among them, the “Mao Da Shi” project, on behalf of Guangdong’s vocational education track, was selected for the provincial championship competition (candidates for junior college, bachelor, master and doctor’s degrees complete on the same stage), and won the third place. In addition, SZPT was also granted the Outstanding Collective Award.
There were 4 tracks and 20 teams in this year’s provincial final, among which the vocational education track produced 29 gold medals. With superb professional knowledge, excellent capability of innovation and entrepreneurship, and eye-catching live presentation, SZPT students stood out from a great number of projects. 10 projects won gold medals, including “Yi Jian Xian Sheng”, “Xin Chi Ling Hang”, “You Xian Shi Jie” and “Yin He Rou Guang” projects of the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering, the “Mao Da Shi” project of the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing in collaboration with the School of Economics, the “Liang Cang Wei Shi” project of the School of Artificial Intelligence, the “An Ju Le Chuang” project of the School of Economics, the “Sheng Zhen Hu Ren” project of the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing, the “Wei Dian Zhi Tu” and “Zhi Guang Hui Nong” projects of the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering, etc., and the other 10 participating projects all won silver medals. It was the first offline competition over the past nearly three years, to which all colleges and universities across the province responded positively. A total of 165 colleges and universities participated in the competition, and registered about 450,000 projects, with the number of students reaching 1.8 million; the number of both participating projects and students hit a record high in the history of Guangdong Province.
In the morning of August 17, the provincial final announced the official closing of the second stage of Lihu Elite Camp. Based on the “Internet+” competition, Lihu Elite Camp took cultivating excellent entrepreneurs and incubating high-growth enterprises as its mission, combining preparation for competition with education, and preparation for competition with incubation; The shortlisted teams were taught systematic business knowledge, supplemented by key leadership skills, and offered with precise industrial resources. The students said that the camp improved their knowledge and business understanding of the industry to which the project related, and also built strong self-confidence on the basis of their enhanced abilities and knowledge. In the second-stage intensive training, everything from the dress for competition and the manner of speech to the deduction of business strategy and the polishing of products all benefited from the meticulous guidance of the instructors. After countless times of elaboration, the students finally blossomed on the stage of the provincial competition. In the camp, whether the study of professional knowledge, industrial knowledge and business knowledge, or the improvement of team spirit and comprehensive quality, all these will students for a lifetime.
