On September 27, 2020, a Party and government delegation led by Sun Zhigang, Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, and Shen Yiqin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Governor of Guizhou Provincial People's Government paid an investigation visit to Shenzhen Polytechnic to learn about its construction of distinctive industry colleges, partner assistance, and employment training. Wang Weizhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Chen Rugui, Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and Ye Niuping and Yu Min, leaders of Guangdong Province accompanied the delegation during the visit. Before the investigation visit, Wang Weizhong visited theRoot in Special Economic Zone to Realize Innovative Development: Educational Achievement Exhibition at the 27th Anniversary of the Establishment of Shenzhen Polytechnicon the first floor of the library in Xilihu Campus, and highly affirmed the educational and schooling achievements made by the school. Wang Weizhong learned that Shenzhen Polytechnic is taking the construction of distinctive industry colleges as an important measure for in-depth industry-education integration, with one distinctive industry college jointly established by Shenzhen Polytechnic and a Fortune Global 500 enterprise or an industry leader for one specific major based on "Nine Common Goals" and the dual education system. He spoke highly of Shenzhen Polytechnic's strategy to explore a vocational education & teaching model with Chinese characteristics and consistent with the cutting-edge, latest, and most advanced global industrial technologies, and to cultivate compound, innovative, and high-quality technicians.

The Party and government delegation of Guizhou first visited theBYD Institute of Applied Technology. Members of the delegation carefully listened to the report on Shenzhen Polytechnic's schooling situation, understood the school's education concept of "serving Shenzhen for its development and striving to build Shenzhen Polytechnic into a world-class school", and elaborated on the ideological construction, industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, partner assistance, and other work. The delegation praised Shenzhen Polytechnic's efforts to persist in the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, highlight the characteristic vocational education based on industry-education cooperation, and form a "Chinese model" that promotes the Chinese vocational education globally.

Shenzhen Polytechnic signs a partner assistance & cooperation agreement with Bijie Vocational and Technical College.

Then leaders of the delegation witnessed the signing ceremony of the partner assistance & cooperation agreement between Shenzhen Polytechnic and Bijie Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as "Bijie College"). It is reported that Shenzhen Polytechnic began its partner assistance with Bijie College in 2009, and the two parties signed a "13th Five-Year Plan" partner assistance agreement with duration of five years in 2015. Through continuous partner assistance, Bijie College has significantly improved its capabilities in such aspects as talent cultivation quality, faculty construction, scientific and research services, and management level. The signing of the partner assistance & cooperation agreement this year enables the two parties to conduct further in-depth cooperation in promoting the level of faculty, talent cultivation, scientific research, international schooling, and social services. In this way, Bijie College is expected to become a high-level higher vocational school in Guizhou by 2023, and by 2025, it will become a human resources development highland at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou that combines education with training, and also a model in latecomer regions of boosting rural revitalization and regional coordinated development through vocational education.
