SZPU teachers Liu Lisha (third from left), Dong Ning and Liu Fei won the first prize
On November 4, the national final of “The 3rd National College Electronic Information Course Experiment Teaching Case Design Competition (RIGOL Cup)” co-sponsored by the Guiding Committee of Electronic Information Teaching in Colleges and Universities under the Ministry of Education, the Electronic Discipline Group of the National Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center and the China Education Society of Electronics was held in Nanjing University. A team of teachers Liu Lisa, Dong Ning and Liu Fei from the Industrial Center, through the preliminary competition in the central south region to the national final, with a high level of teaching case design and excellent on-site 10-minute speech, stood out in the fierce competition with many key colleges and universities, and won the national first prize.
This year marks the first time for our teachers to participate in the competition. Liu Lisha, Director of Electronic Teaching and Research Office of Industrial Center, organized young teachers to form a participating team. With the actual teaching case “Intelligent Tracking Car” as the project carrier, the team innovatively solved the problems relating to the knowledge of electronic courses being abstract, complicated and outdated, implemented the CDIO engineering education model based on the technology and product carrier, followed the product development process of “simulation rehearsal - prototype design - task practice - expansion and progression - iterative optimization”, reflected the digital scene and action orientation, and formed a staged case teaching organization of “taking on tasks, watching rehearsal, practicing process and refining skills”. Through several months of full preparations, the team repeatedly revised design contents and made simulation exercises to improve experiment case works and improve the level of their entries.
The competition was divided into five areas nationwide, and attracted more than 400 undergraduate teams from over 100 colleges and universities across the country, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xidian University, Wuhan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Southern University of Science and Technology, etc. It is reported that the National College Electronic Information Course Experiment Teaching Case Design Competition (RIGOL Cup) has been included on the list of the 2023 National General College Teachers Teaching Competition, and as a teaching competition dimension into the 2023 edition of the National General College Teachers Teaching Development Index.
