Yang Xinbin delivered the “First Lesson of Ideology and Politics” in the autumn semester of 2023 with the title of “Building a Strong Country and Young People’s Responsibility” for freshmen in Block E, Gewu Garden, Xili Campus. He guided the students to review the historical process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in modern times, and pointed out with facts that only when the Communist Party of China leads the Chinese people on the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics could success be possible. Then, taking the great achievements in national construction over recent years, especially the reform and opening up in Shenzhen as an example, Yang Xinbin pointed out that we are closer to the goal of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and more confident and capable of realizing this goal than in any other period in history, and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has shown unprecedented bright prospects. In addition, Yang Xinbin also introduced the university’s running situation and the advanced deeds of its outstanding alumni. Xu Jianling delivered the “First Lesson of Ideology and Politics”in the autumn semester of 2023with the title of “Let youth shine brightly in the construction of a powerful country”.He told five stories about constructing a powerful country, including China’s GDP ranking the second in the world, Beidou shining in the sky, high-speed rail leading the world, winning the battle against poverty, and making every effort to build “China Core”, which made the students feel the difficulties and obstacles on the road of constructing a powerful country and the hard-won achievements therefrom, and further clarified the awareness that the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has entered an irreversible historical process, inspiring the students to study hard, make unremitting efforts, and always embrace the mission of serving the country with skills and talents. Xu Jianling also introduced the development status of Shenzhen and the school-running situation of SZPU. He hoped the students would work hard to realize their dreams at a campus with leading comprehensive strength, excellent teachers and first-class practical training conditions in Shenzhen, a city full of innovation, green,vitality and openness, so as to let the youth bloom in the practice of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way!
