On January 8, the Smart Finance & Taxation Competition (Higher Vocational Group) of 2021-2022 Professional Skills Competition for Vocational College Students in Guangdong Province hosted by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and organized by the Guangdong AIB Polytechnic College was concluded successfully. Four students from the major of Big Data and Accounting (2019 session) of the School of Economics, under the guidance of teachers Peng Yi and Sun Xiaoge, made full preparation, cooperated closely with each other, and through the tense competition of three modules, namely, “commercial finance & taxation and robot application”, “taxation service and big data application” and “financial management and big data application”, won the first prize in the provincial competition. The smart finance & taxation competition attracted 46 vocational colleges and 184 contestants from the province, with an aim to promote the comprehensive talent cultivation of finance and economics majors in higher vocational colleges and improve the quality of education comprehensively. The major of Big Data and Accounting will take this opportunity to lead the professional construction and teaching reform, and realize the promotion of teaching and learning through competition.
