Recently, the evaluation results of the 2021 National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest released by its Organizing Committee showed that the team from the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering of Shenzhen Polytechnic has won the first prize as the only team from vocational universities in Guangdong Province to win the first prize in the national competition. The winning team consists of Zhang Kai, Xiao Zhiqiang, and Liu Bingtao, guided by teachers Yang Li and Zeng Qiming. Since 2021, the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering has started to organize students to participate in the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest, which was jointly hosted by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Personnel and Education of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In recent years, the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering has promoted teaching and learning through competitions. By setting up the Elite Class of Electronic IoT, it has accelerated the integration of competitions and courses and started special courses focusing on the embedded system technology, drone technology, and PCB design; By setting up a whole week training course for advanced training of analog circuit, it focused on the training of retest and designed special circuit modules for training; By setting up a teacher's studio, it organized students to carry out normal training; Through the design of electronic competition resource database and related teaching cases, the decomposition exercise of classic competition questions and other measures, it has promoted the quality of talent training to a new level.
