Leaders of Shenzhen Polytechnic Inspect the Teaching Order, Which Is Safe and Well-organized on the First Day of the New Semester

On September 7, Shenzhen Polytechnic started the new semester. Yang Xinbin, Secretary of the Party Committee and President, and Ma Xiaoming, Vice President of Shenzhen Polytechnic respectively led a team to conduct comprehensive inspections of the teaching situations in three campuses.

Leaders carefully reviewed the work such as the management of teaching venues and the daily teaching organization. For problems found in the inspection, leaders instructed the Office of Academic Affairs to cooperate with relevant departments in developing solutions immediately and gradually rectifying them. Upon examination, the teaching situation on the first day of the new semester was normal; most students were in a good mental state; the classroom teaching was rigorous and normative; the teaching order was well-organized.

As introduced, in order to ensure the smooth, safe, and orderly first day, Shenzhen Polytechnic has made arrangements and taken actions in advance. It has formulated a detailed epidemic prevention work program to highlight the two key jobs, the normal epidemic prevention and control and education & teaching. Firstly, as the epidemic prevention and control requires, the school teaching arrangements should be adjusted meticulously to reduce the student flow between classes for the avoidance of the mass gathering. Data show that after the adjustment, the number of student flow between classes has been reduced by 82.9%, a decrease of 1,172 times. Secondly, Shenzhen Polytechnic has implemented different timetables for different teaching buildings to avoid the peak. Thirdly, theGuidelines on the COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Classrooms and the Process of Responding to Emergencies in Teaching Venues During the COVID-19 Prevention and Control have been developed to give norms and requirements for the treatment process of all activities and emergencies during teaching for guaranteeing the health and safety of students at school.

The Office of Academic Affairs, Students' Affairs Office, and Quality Assurance Center Room joined the inspection.
