Sino-German Center and School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Visit Bosch Shenzhen Factory

On the morning of September 27, Chen Hong, Dean of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of InternationalAffairsOffice, and Martin Fleischer, Director of Sino-German Higher Vocational Education Innovation Center (the “Sino-German Center”), led a team to visit Bosch Shenzhen Factory - Unipoint Inc. Factory Manager Marco Morea and Commercial Director Sebastian Hardt received our team.

Hardt, on behalf of Bosch Shenzhen Factory, welcomed our team and the two sides introduced team members to each other. Hardt led our team to visit the material warehouse, wiper rod and wiper workshop, and research & development test laboratory. Bosch staff introduced in detail the parts of different products, production processes and safety standards of the factory. In the laboratory, teachers from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering made in-depth exchanges with research & development and testing personnel on the research & development process, manufacturing technique, professional equipment and other aspects.

After the visit, the company communicated with our team to further explore the subsequent cooperation between the two sides. Factory Manager Morea first introduced the basic situation of Bosch Shenzhen Factory and expressed the intention to cooperate with our college. Martin Fleischer introduced the functions of the Sino-German Center and the development vision of the Sino-German Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing, hoping to help the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering cooperate with high-quality German enterprises. Next, Chen Hong introduced the basic situation of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, stated that some jobs in Bosch Shenzhen Factory matched well with the professional training programs of SZPT, and hoped to carry out cooperation on R&D, testing, quality control and other fields through teacher training and student internship. Then, HR Manager Du Jiajing introduced Bosch’s talent training strategy, emphasizing the necessity of school-enterprise cooperation on talent training. Finally, Chen Hong summarized the visit and invited Bosch to visit SZPT for exchanges, hoping that the two sides could carry out substantive cooperation in the future.

It is reported that Unipoint Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Germany Bosch Group. In 2020, Bosch ranked 95th on the Fortune Global 500 list and has been named an “Outstanding Employer in China” for 11 consecutive years. Unipoint Inc. was founded in 1992, located in Pingdi Town, Longgang District, Shenzhen, with a floor area of 30,000 square meters. As of December 2021, the company had 1,000 employees. As the Shenzhen Factory of Bosch Group, the company mainly produces automobile wiper rods and wipers, among which the annual output of wipers ranks at the forefront in the world.
