Recently, the Second Higher Education Research Excellence Award of Guangdong Institute of Higher Education announced the results. SZPT recommended 6 achievements by quota to participate in the evaluation, and 5 of them ware awarded: 4 academic papers (2 first prizes, 1 second prize, 1 third prize) and 1 monograph (third prize). Both the number of first prizes and the total number of awards rank first among the higher vocational colleges in the province, whichis the best result of SZPT since our participation in the evaluation of the Higher Education Research Excellence Award of Guangdong Institute of Higher Education.

To prosper the higher education research in our province, stimulate the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of higher education workers to promote the theoretical and practical research of higher education, and improve the quality and level of higher education research, Guangdong Institute of Higher Education issued the “Notice on Holding the Second Higher Education Research Excellence Award” this July. Upon receipt of the notice, SZPT actively organized the application and recommended the best. After the qualification check by the secretariat of the institute, the grouped expert review and the centralized expert review, ourcollege won 5 awards. It is reported that the Second Higher Education Research Excellence Award of Guangdong Institute of Higher Education takes academic papers, monographs and consulting & research reports as the main achievement forms, which is an important indicator to measure the quality of education and research at colleges and universities.

It is worth mentioning that the academic papers published by Associate Researcher Li Wenli and Associate Researcher Ma Kexin in the Journal of Shenzhen Polytechnic, titled “Thinking Visualization of Online Course Teaching Design” (Issue 3, 2022) and “Study on the Development Status and Countermeasures of Student Associations at Higher Vocational Colleges in the New Era” (Issue 1, 2020), won the first prize and the third prize respectively, marking the gradual improvement of the quality of articles published in our journal.
