On August 28-31, the “Preschool Education Skills” Segment of the 2022 National Vocational Students Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) was held at Jinan Preschool Education College in Shandong Province. Huang Xiaoling and Zhu Yongqi, two students from the major of preschool education, under the whole-course accompanying and guidance of two instructors PengDaoyinzhan and Wu Jing, won the third prize with the first place after three days of fierce competition, ranking first among the four teams that represented Guangdong Province to participate in the national competition, which is a historic breakthrough.

This is the first time that the major of preschool education goes beyond the provincial level and participates in the national competition. In the process of preparing for the competition, the college leaders and functional departments gave support and help in various aspects. The participating team had been training hard since the preparation for the provincial competition. The epidemic situation in many areas brought huge challenges to the preparation work. To ensure the qualification for participating in the competition and the effect of the preparation work, the teachers and students overcame numerous difficulties and arrived at the competition site nearly 10 days in advance for self-isolation and closed training, showing the fighting spirit of not being afraid of competition or strong players. In the future, with the goal of high-quality development, the major of preschool education will deepen the role of “promoting education through competition, promoting learning through competition, and promoting reform through competition”, learn from other colleges, strive for the landmark “hard” achievements, and endeavor to commit itself to the “First Assault Boat” mission.
