On August 14-15, the “Comprehensive Banking Skills” (Higher Vocational Group) of 2022 National Vocational College Skills Competition sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, the Shandong Provincial People’s Government, the National Development and Reform Commission and other national ministries and commissions was held in Qingdao. Led by Wang Ying, Dean of the School of Economics, and Li Changsheng, Director of the Major, and guided by Wang Jiangbo and Yao Jinfeng, the SZPT representative team composed of Fang Wei, Wei Lin, Ma Xianjuan and Luo Yali won the first prize.

It is reported that the competition has four categories: “Business Literacy”, “Business Skills”, “Core Banking Operations” and “Fintech Operations”, designed to check each participant’s mastery of basic knowledge related to economics and finance, proficiency of basic banking operations, comprehensive capacity of core banking business processing, and professional knowledge in ten business scenarios, including digital RMB, big data finance, cloud finance, Internet of things finance, and blockchain finance.

Vocational skills competition is an important stage to show the achievements of education reform and development and the excellent quality and image of teachers and students at the college. In recent years, the School of Economics has earnestly implemented SZPT’s reform and development concept, attached great importance to the training of skilled talents, promoted the integration of “post, course, competition, certificate and innovation” to enhance the core competitiveness of students for employment, and successively won a number of national competitions, fully demonstrating the fruitful results of education at SZPT.
