On May 18th, the 18th session of Shenzhen Civic Lecture Series on Culture was held in SZPT. In the Lecture Hall of the library on the west campus, Fu Hongxing, the curator of China Movie Museum and the director of China Movie Art Research Centre, gave a speech on “The Development of the Chinese Movies”. It is the 1st lecture since SZPT became one of the sponsors of this activity.
The lecture was presided by Han Shulin, the director of the Publicity Department of SZPT. More than 400 staff members and other local audience attended the lecture.
In his speech, Mr. Fu began with the development of the world’s documentary films. He went through the development of Chinese documentary films and its current situation and took the latest film “Nanjing! Nanjing!” as an example. He pointed out its drastic documental style. The whole speech was based upon history and reality, using materials and facts, which gave the audience a fully understanding of the development and current situation of the documentary films.
