basic theory and skills of foundation of art, film arts, the principles of animation, etc. professionalism of animation design, story editing, skills of using graphical images, video and music and the creation of animation manufacture.

To master the animation and production process, familiar with various links of animation design and manufacture. To be able to undertake design and creativity of high quality, design and manufacture of image and visual effect, senior effects and texture production, network animation manufacture, film, and game animation manufacture.

To be familiar with computer multimedia product development process, master the basic theoretical knowledge and application of multimedia technology of the multimedia software development, multimedia audio, images, animation and video footage, as well as the operation and application of software tools in the design and manufacturing process, adapting to the production, management and operation of the front-line.

a) Professional basic ability

TO Master basic knowledge of multimedia program design and the design of multimedia art, with strong multimedia software application skills, and necessary basic ability of multimedia development, multimedia software programming skills.

b) Professional core competence

a) Professional basic ability

To master basic theoretical knowledge in film post-production process, equipping with professional basic skills of film post-production, and operation and application of film post-production software tools.

b) Professional core competence

To get familiar with every production process in film post-production, and to be equipped with the core competence needed in film post-production. It includes: video effects and synthesis, digital visual design, video camera language performance, film clips, 3d effects manufacture, film packaging design and production.

(7)The core curriculum and main practice:

a) Core curriculum

Design basis, animation basis, audio-visual language and editing, videotape, dubbing and sound effects, dynamic graphic manufacture, 3d animation basis, 3d animation effects, the effects of synthesis, TV packaging design and fabrication, TV specials, audio and sound effects production.

b) Main practice

2d and 3d material design and production practice, the visual design application practice, the comprehensive training in the effects of synthesis, film and TV special production practice, the comprehensive project in editing practice, and graduation practice.

(8)Employment:

The graduates are suitable to work in film special effects production company, culture communication company., Television production unit, Television advertising company, animation companies, mainly engaged in film editing, post-film effects and synthesis, television channel package, TV special program design and manufacture ,and all kinds of film packaging design, etc.


Game Design and Manufacture Profession (direction)

To cultivate skilled talents adapting to the need of the front-line in production and management; to master the operation and application of game design software tools and related theory and professional skill in game design and manufacture.

(6)The requirements of professional ability:

a) Professional basic ability

To master the basic theoretical knowledge of game design and manufacture process, and basic skills in game design and manufacture, as well as the software tools operation and application in the game design and production.

b) Professional core competence

To get familiar with all production processes of game design and production, with the core competence needed in product design and manufacture. It includes: the game designing and planning, game scene and props character design and fabrication, texture map design and manufacture, and the ability of animation and special effects design and manufacture, etc.

The graduates are suitable to work in the companies of game production and development, game operation and marketing, virtual reality interaction, network media, and the development of game derivative products, mainly engaged in employment of network game, LAN game and mobile games planning, design and manufacture, the compilation and script production of game, game operation management, marketing and promotion.

Our college pays special attention to staff construction, focus on cultivating double-quality teachers with practical experience and advanced teaching method, and send teaching staff to the UK, Singapore etc. for further education. We bring in an international expert to work as the professional backbone teacher; employ 80 teachers from the enterprises, arrange 20 formal teacher to be trained in enterprises, including 2 teachers who are trained for half a year to take part in the animation production programs. Through the international and specialized quality training, we gradually formed a leading animation research team professional in the field of cartoon planning, design and production.

The animation college teachers won the honor of Guangdong 10 young designers, Guangdong excellent teachers, Shenzhen excellent teachers (2 person), profession of the first gold medal teachers of Shenzhen institute of technology etc. works like The waterside pavilion, Lenin flowers club, ", "little bean plant trees, COSPLAY community", "ace" candy mobilization are got prizes.


Teaching

(1)Teaching reform

The School of Animation actively explores the teaching mode of college-enterprise cooperation, and combination of work and study based on the project of the working process, cooperates with enterprise, brings enterprise projects into the classroom or simulates practical projects, makes students of different grades to study in the production process, forming a team with appropriate level and reasonable division. In the course, the long-term part of the project are digested, with the purpose of realizing project-oriented course development and connecting the scattered knowledge,   which laid solid foundation for the construction of "animation factory" in animation college.

On this basis, the college adheres to the standard mode: take professional creation as the core, dual-capable teachers as the backbone, production process as the standard pattern, and gradually becomes a perfect construction framework for “teacher studio room”, eventually changing the original closed teaching system into the open pattern.

To ensure that students catch up with the latest update industry technology, the animation college establishes outside training bases in Jadeite Digital Technology (Shenzhen) Co. LTD, Verdan Cartoon Company, and Shenzhen Sun Cartoon Design Co. LTD.

The college has formed professional management committee formed by government, college, enterprise and industry; fully participates in the constitution of teaching plan; evaluates teaching results; instructs effectively the teaching reform of the college. Ensure that professional teachers are of dual ability, and all the students graduated with double qualification certificate.

(2) Training Conditions

According to industrial process and teaching needs of the animation college, 28 training room studios are set up, including: 2d animation production, 3d animation production, post special effects, multi-media production, game simulation, sports capture, post-production, sculpture and modeling, basic studio room.

Our college attaches great importance to the software and hardware construction, and bring in of a set of first-class training equipment and related software in the field of film, animation, multimedia, etc., established a number of key training room studios conforming to international standards.

Studio room of high definition animation color proof and post special effect editing. It covers an area of 60 square meters, brings in the latest complete system and software of Autodesk smoke, Flint HD, being able to undertake A level design and manufacture of film video and animation.

Training Studio for 3d Motion capture: it covers an area of 35 square meters, as of 6 meters in height, brings in the international first-class Motion capture system, with the capability to capture details of hand Motion. Equipped with convert software, software interface and development platform software, it admits the compatibility of 3D motion capture equipment with 3D MAX and MAYA software.

Studio room for film and television animation gathering: it covers an area of 120 square meters, which contains 150 CPU rendering node, document management server, task dispatch server, mass storage device hardware and Turtle software, Qube senior rendering distribute software, Alienbrain digital project management software, etc.

Studio room for post-output: equipped with SONY SRW - 5500 high-definition video, it is able to achieve professional level 4:4:4 chromaticity of bandwidth, with the ability of automatic identification recording function recording the of dual format, supporting 5.1 dolby channels manufacture, 720P recording and playback function and flexible format convert

Multi-function film and television animation studio: made by multimedia and special sound-absorbing and insulation material, the film studio established two-layer photographing platform and channel, auxiliary facilities for shooting area, fixed block telescopic frame motion capture camera. It contains professional CHKDSK keyer (30 square meters), the blue box, shooting area lights, light rail, bars, and studio room and so on.

The teaching staffs of the college have active teaching thought, teaching research and reform, which has made considerable progress in teaching research and reform in recent years. The college organizes regular teaching and research activities, which are involved in areas of curriculum reform, the reform of teaching methods, examination methods, etc.

We actively explore the teaching methods of learning from factories, combination of industry with study, and teacher studio, etc., strengthening the process of teaching practice.

The college also took the initiative to release a number of forward-looking research projects which were actively assumed by professional teachers, bring about teaching and research to develop in depth effective.

(1)   Scientific Research Team

The animation college has a powerful teaching and research staff team. According to its own characteristics, the college closely connects the needs of industry and enterprise, vigorously developing the forward-looking, exploratory and original project, serving for industry and enterprise.

Our research team focuses on advanced scientific research and development in the future, aims at the international advanced level, and launches positive academic research of new technology, new trends, and new fields. Besides, varieties of academic and international cooperative research on teaching are made.

In recent years, the animation college has made 25 university-level horizontal projects, 10 longitudinal projects, and published more than 50 papers with 15 included in core journals, some were national social scientific fund planning project, and some got prizes. Lu Huini’s paper--- the virtual experimental environment structure of computer network based on Internet has been included infamous overseas index. There are 7 Personal professional portfolios. Staffs got awards in various contests at home and abroad. Tanxin's speed and passion won the bronze prize in the Universidad poster design contest in 2011, and also obtained provincial-level award.

Foreign exchange and cooperation


Our college pays special attention to academic exchange activities with animation colleges at home and abroad, as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong. We have established long-term cooperation relationship and the academic exchanges with Japan Duomi Art University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Tsing Yi College of Hong Kong professional Education Institute, etc. And our college has employed Shichuanhao --- Japanese animation master and social activist, Wei Liqun --- professor of College of Art and Design, and master of Folk Art Research Institute of Hebei Normal University and HuangXinYuan--- professor of Institute College of Beijing Forestry University as the visiting professors. And we also signed agreement with Macao Digital Art Research Institute in the fields of joint recruitment, mutual training, teaching staff interaction and    project research. In recent years, we have cooperated in the teaching field with Tsing Yi College of Hong Kong professional Education Institute, Thailand Royal Polytechnic University, Taiwan Zhili Technical College and Singapore Polytechnic Institute, and has won good praise from the international counterparts.

Training

(1)   Education for the Outside

Combined with industry and its own characteristics, the animation college has held various types of training activities in recent years. The college carried out social service actively, and has won praise from enterprise and society.

 According to the needs of the society and university and polytechnic in the animation industry, Animation College has held related teacher training, adult training, social training for many times. The college has successively held 3 times the national vocational education training class for teachers and national higher vocational teaching seminars. The animation college has also provided training services for vocational technical colleges by means of setting up training classes or selecting teachers for it.

In the meanwhile, the animation college employed international master to give top-end training on current animation issues. Besides, it also held the relevant international training represented by the UNESCO project. The college provided relevant international training for UNESCO projects --- art design and animation training programs, Shenzhen Universidad mascot design contest projects, intermediate film (VD) post line edit training class, and animation training class for Shenzhen disabled persons' federation. The college also provides authentication training on 3DMAX level I animators, MAYA level I animators etc.

The animation college opens professional distant teaching network, establishes platform for the sharing of teaching resources, constructing life-long learning platform for the cultivation of high-skilled talents.

Combining its own productive practice, the animation college undertakes animation production, motion capture, dubbing clips, post-rendering technology, multimedia development, 3D technology design and development, social development, etc. for Shenzhen Cailing Animation Company, Shenzhen Hua Qiang, IDMT (universal digital), Hong Kong Wankuan, etc. and has won the identification of the industry.
