Applicants
The Chinese language learning and vocational skills training in Shenzhen Polytechnic are prepared for non-Chinese speakers at age 18 or over with at least junior middle school educational background. The diploma course studies are prepared for non-Chinese speakers at or over 18 with a record of or over senior middle school education.
Application
Applicants are encouraged to contact the International Education Department of Shenzhen Polytechnic (IED SZPT) in the following steps: 1. Download an Application Form for International Students from website.
2. Mail your completed Application Form with a copy of your passport and transcript or academic records to the IED SZPT. 3. You will receive an Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for International Students one month prior to the start of your applied program if time is available. 4. Apply for Chinese visa with your Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for International Students at the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate. 5. You are required to be registered at the IED SZPT as dated in your Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for International Students. In case of expected late arrival, it is necessary to notify the IED SZPT immediately in order that proper arrangement can be made in your favor.
Accommodation Application,
You can choose to apply for student's domitory or Guest House. To reserve the accommodation successfully, you should send the application form two months before the beginning of a new semester. Programs Guide
Assessment for entry placement in Chinese language level is expected of all new students. Classes are organized accordingly. Class size for Chinese language learning is controlled at a maximum of 20 students. The skill training and course studies are conducted with normal classes with Chinese students. Special classes are available for special programs if necessary.
(I) Chinese Language Learning
1. Elementary Chinese Program is designed for beginning learners with no or little Chinese learning experience. The program provides a systematic training in Chinese pronunciation and intonation, a volume of 2500-3000 Chinese words, and a set of basic Chinese phrases and grammatical structures. The training enables the learners to have a mastery of basic communicative ability to live in Chinese speaking environments, with a Chinese linguistic level equivalent to HSK Elementary level.
2. Intermediate Chinese Program (1)(2) are designed for those wishing to improve mandarin Chinese with certain Chinese learning experience and limited speaking competence. The program provides a systematic training in pronunciation and intonation improvement, a volume of 4000-5000 Chinese words and a set of complicated Chinese phrases and grammatical structures. The training enables the learners to have a mastery of Chinese discourse interpretation ability to live and study in Chinese speaking environments, with a intermediate Chinese linguistic level equivalent to HSK Intermediate level.
3. Advanced Chinese Program is designed for those wishing to enlarge the Chinese characters volume and enrich the overall linguistic ability in order to communicate fluently and appropriately in Chinese speaking environment. The program provides a systematic training in pronunciation and intonation improvement, a volume of 6000-8000 Chinese words, a set of more complicated Chinese phrases and grammatical structures. The training enables the learners to express fluently and appropriately in academic or professional areas at normal speed, with a Chinese linguistic level equivalent to HSK Intermediate level..
Notes: ① The Chinese language programs are composed of compulsory and selective courses respectively. The compulsory courses include Integrated Chinese(6hs/w),Chinese Listening(4hs/w), Chinese reading(2hs/w),Chinese Speaking(4hs/w). ② The selective courses includes Chinese Pronunciation(2hs/w), Tai Ji(2hs/w), Chinese Cartography(2hs/w), Chinese Extensive Reading(2hs/w), Chinese Arts(2hs/w),Chinese Business(2hs/w), etc. The selective courses are offered in open lectures or special training activities. ③ Learners from advanced classes are allowed to select courses at specific fields such as economics, management, business, legal studies, computation, electronics, mechanics, electrification, designs, nursing, jewelry, etc as listed on the course category of Shenzhen Polytechnic. International students can attend these courses as auditors. ④ If necessary, organized trips or tours could be arranged to experience Chinese culture and historical heritages on weekends or holidays. The trips will be charged accordingly.
4. Short Term Chinese Program is offered to meet specific need for group application. The program lasts between one and four weeks. The language training is arranged in the morning for compulsory courses and selective courses or activities in the afternoon. Local trips or sightseeing are arranged at weekends.
5. Intensive Chinese Program is offered for international visitors in Shenzhen who wish to have a mastery of basic Chinese speaking ability. The program lasts for 8 weeks. The program offers a systematic training in Chinese pronunciation, characters and linguistic rules. The training focuses on listening and speaking, aiming at mastery of 600 general words and phrases for daily conversation. The training is conducted in the evenings or on weekends accordingly.
6. HSK Preparation is a specially designed course targeting students wishing to take HSK test. The 4-week course begins just 4 weeks before the test. The training is conducted in the evenings or weekends.
(II) Vocational Skill Training
The training is designed for career preparation by Shenzhen Polytechnic Vocational Training Center. The skill training programs are listed at the List of Vocational Skill Training. Please see the detail by just clicking.
(III) Diploma Course Studies

Methods of Payments
1.
