Basic intro of Entrepreneurship and Innovation School
Shenzhen Polytechnic has setup dedicated offices and teams responsible for innovation and entrepreneurship education. In 2009, Shenzhen Polytechnic set up a leading group for entrepreneurship education. The president and the vice president of SZPT serve as the direct and deputy directors of the group respectively, with the heads of the main function departments (Office of Teaching Affairs, Office of Scientific Research, Office of Student Admission and Recruitment) and heads of faculties as members In 2012, Shenzhen Polytechnic set up the Steering Committee for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, made up of 20 well-known experts from the government, higher education institutions, industries and enterprises. Shenzhen Polytechnic established the School of Entrepreneurship in 2009, which was developed into the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, with one of the vice presidents in charge of teaching affairs as the dean in 2016.
Shenzhen Polytechnic has established a 600-person team of innovation and entrepreneurship tutors composed of experts and scholars from home and abroad, well-known and successful entrepreneurs, outstanding graduates, professional teachers and trainers. With close attention to students' transferable skills and innovative and entrepreneurial skills, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship has setup a teaching and research section, a management office(including the student creative and entrepreneurial park), and a maker centre (Fab Lab SZ Polytechnic) to build up the innovation and entrepreneurship campus culture, provide students with innovative and entrepreneurial skills, and provide an innovation and entrepreneurship platform inside and outside the campus.
1. Build the compound professional platform of "professional+", and innovative talent cultivation mechanism
Backbone major: Professional core ability (professional and deep);
Expansion major: Occupational change ability + innovative and entrepreneurial ability (extensive and profound)
2. Build the compound course platform of "course+", and improve the education course system of innovation and entrepreneurship:
(1) Build the compound course of "professional course+": Professional course + general education course Professional course + project-based course Professional course + innovation and entrepreneurship course.
(2) Build the advanced-type innovation and entrepreneurship course system.
3. Build the "three-creation" platform of "Entrepreneurship Park", and improve the innovative and entrepreneurial practice ability of students."Three-creation" practice platform:
(1) Maker Cultivation Center: Micro Assembly Laboratory
(2) Entrepreneurship Incubation Center: Creativity and Entrepreneurship Park of Students
(3) Exchange and Exhibition Platform: "Four-Fair, Two-Competition and Three-Union"

Entrepreneurship preparatory education: For all the students with entrepreneurial interests
Entrepreneurship special education: For all the students with strong interest and preliminary entrepreneurship scheme
